Kyle Larson to Attempt Historic Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 Double
Double Duty for NASCAR Star
Kyle Larson, one of the most accomplished drivers in NASCAR, will attempt to make history by competing in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day, May 28, 2023. Larson is the first driver to attempt the feat since Tony Stewart in 2010.
Indy 500 Details
The Indy 500 qualifying rounds will take place on May 18 and 19, with the race scheduled for May 26. Coverage will begin at 11 am ET on NBC, with the race officially starting at approximately 12:45 pm.
Coca-Cola 600 Details
The Coca-Cola 600 will take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with coverage starting at 5:30 pm ET on Fox. The race is scheduled to start at approximately 6 pm ET.
A Historic Attempt
If Larson successfully completes the double, he will become only the fourth driver in history to compete in both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. The last driver to accomplish the feat was John Andretti in 1994.
Larson's attempt will undoubtedly captivate racing enthusiasts and add another chapter to the storied history of the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600.
